I was responsible for recruiting exceptional educators to positively impact the lives of our students at KIPP Houston Public Schools. I was responsible for sourcing, cultivating, and interviewing applicants; working with 13 different hiring managers to understand their needs and manage the hiring cycle and, building and maintaining relationships with universities and their career centers.

-Served as Grade Level Chair for two years where I managed grade level logisitcs, planned and coordinated end of the year events and celebrations, planned an average of 4 field lessons a year. -Relay Graduate Fellow Advisor-2016-2017 KIPP School Leadership Programs- Teacher Leader Cohort-Math Content Lead-My students achieved 80% or higher on the Math Spring Administration of the STAAR Test for three consecutive years.

Established major gifts, annual giving, foundation, relations, and donor stewardship programs; organized four events, and raised over $1 million dollars for current use and endowment funds, with no existing fundraising program in place.

-Designed a campus recruitment program that was used across Texas universities to secure a greater number of high quality teachers for KIPP Houston Public Schools.-Created the job description, application, and conducted phone interviews for the final position.-Co-developed a new organization recruitment plan through researching other effective recruitment systems.

-Researched how China and the US address poverty, migrant education, urban unemployment, incarceration, healthcare, environmental concerns, and other issues.-Interned at The Dandelion School, a migrant school in China, to gain firsthand experience at how to address one of China’s greatest social problems: migrant education.
