As Core and Specialty Clinical Portfolio Leader, my role is to understand customer needs, to know where the industry is going and to deliver an application portfolio strategy that satisfies the needs of the organization. Manage, guide and align to customer expectations on the product offerings. Serve as a key interface with the IT customer. Produce portfolio roadmaps and manage the portfolio of investments throughout their lifecycles, as well as, achieve not only measurable results but also strong financial goals.

Adjunct faculty for Master's and Doctoral Programs of study with a specialty in Nursing Informatics.

Responsible for working collaboratively with Information Technology and Services (IT&S), division vice-presidents of quality (DVPQ) and hospital user advisory groups to lead the development of a certified EHR module that will meet the criteria of the meaningful use clinical quality measures (CQMs). Duties include the creation of an implementation strategy for the CQM module, fabrication of educational materials for facility staff and leadership, as well as, provide ongoing support of the application and lead CQM efforts as subsequent stages of meaningful use are finalized.

Responsible for the planning and management of care for surgical patients in the operating room, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Duties include interdisciplinary collaboration in the peri-operative arena, pre-operative assessment, patient and family education, safeguarding patient comfort, medication management, coordinating peri-operative safety procedures, ensuring the availability of the required equipment and supplies and supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel throughout these activities. Additional remits include editor and reporter for unit newsletter and monthly V-Survey, a benchmarking survey tool to evaluate monthly policy and procedure compliance in the operating room.

Responsible for assessing, implementing and evaluating the care of complicated medical and surgical patients, to include patient and family education. Duties include providing total patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, utilization of ventilators, management of invasive monitoring devices, highly complex medication management, assist with bedside procedures, initiate CPR and manage code situations and supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel.
