Britton led an energy innovation and thought leadership organization founded, the largest electric and gas, municipally-owned, vertically integrated utility in the U.S., along with three of its international industry allies. As employee number one in March 2016, she went to work to build a team and a start-up entity into an effective enterprise. EPIcenter was conceived to propel energy innovation and thought for our global future with a think tank, incubator and accelerator, strategic partnerships, and critical conversations around energy.In addition to responsibility for the effective administration and fiscal performance of the organization, Britton oversaw the array of EPIcenter programs launched beginning in 2017. She drove the development of the organization’s thought leadership programming and research publications from its think tank. At a time when it was a rarity, she led the creation of an energy incubator and accelerator with fully virtual programming capability and the reach to serve energy-related clients from across the U.S. and internationally. Utilities and other clients engaged Britton and EPIcenter to infuse or expand a culture of innovation, vet emerging technologies, tap into employee ideation and perform customized strategic and transformational work under its boutique line of advisory services developed by Britton and her team. She was the co-founder of a unique collaboration of public power utilities designed to harness the collective might of public power along the I-35 corridor in Texas. Under this umbrella, Britton and her team managed and facilitated multiple workgroups and taskforces staffed by high-level leaders from the member utilities working on everything from workforce development, to mutual aid and regional strategies for electric transportation.Sought after as a speaker and thought leader, Britton acted as the primary media spokesperson for the organization and routinely presented at conferences and summits.

Led successful fundraising and membership operations of South Texas’ only encyclopedic museum of art. Efforts included capital gifts for major museum expansions, funds for operations, direct mail, telemarketing, special events, endowment and programmatic fundraising. Created and implemented strategy for building relationships and expanding constituent base. Gave oversight to all member events, benefits and enhancements. Sat as a member of the museum’s senior leadership team.

Created and managed community outreach in the Barnett Shale, including consumer education as well as overseeing a multi-million dollar charitable budget. Managed staff to develop and implement corporate sponsorships and relationships to further business development, instigated and produced events to augment brand awareness, directed a multi-city speakers’ bureau, and established a grassroots advocacy program to support political success of the organization. As a member of our divisional senior management team, represented the company on various community boards and civic organizations and with regularity in the media. Leveraged relationships to advance the mission of the company and enhance quality of life in the region.

Co-founded a tax-exempt organization to coordinate all philanthropic activities to benefit those served by the JPS Health Network, a public governmental entity. The foundation officially began its existence January 1, 1997 and produced a cumulative $39 million in grants and donations during this 13-year period. Managed the corporate citizen activities on behalf of the healthcare organization and its foundation.
