Kimberly Buff Email and Phone Number
Kim's compassionate vision to provide platforms for parents to communicate, find support, build community and exchange critical information about pediatric cancer treatment continues to be the driving force behind each new initiative Momcology pursues. Kim believes in active collaboration between organizations, and that the education, empowerment and effective mobilization of parents is integral in creating a new future for children (and families) that have been diagnosed with cancer. Kim has meticulously connected thousands of pediatric cancer families to each other and Momcology's community and caregiver support programs since 2011.Kim is asked to advise, consult and contribute to many endeavors within the professional childhood cancer care community. Kim has contributed as a parent stakeholder to the implementation of the evidence-based Psychosocial Assessment Tool (PAT) and is asked to endorse many professional studies that address the ongoing needs of families after a pediatric cancer diagnosis. In 2018, Kim was elected to the Board of Directors of the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2) and most recently joined the Patient Advocacy Committee of Children's Oncology Group. In honor of her commitment to families, Kim was the recipient of the first Community Star Award presented by Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota's Cancer & Blood Disorders Clinic in 2014.Kim’s son was diagnosed with leukemia in 2009, and she has made supporting families and caregivers of children with cancer her life mission.
