-Works with children from birth to age 18 to address patient needs and help them meet specific goals-Assesses the child for adaptations and use of special equipment when necessary-Works to improve the function and independence of children and teens with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses-Provides therapeutic interventions that help develop children’s fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self care skills, regulation, and more-Adjusts communication patterns to the age and level of understanding of the child. This may sometimes include nonverbal means of communication-Provides support and advice to the child’s parents about every angle of their care that has to do with the occupational therapy needs of the child-Collaborates with team members from other disciplines to best support child’s needs

-Provide an academic and social learning environment for students on the Autism Spectrum -Support students' individual strengths and learning styles and adapts lesson plans accordingly-Employ Developmental Language Models and Developmental Individual-Difference Relationship (DIR®) based principles -Work in collaboration with Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, and DIR® Specialist

• Assists licenses Occupational Therapists during therapy sessions by obtaining needed equipment and/or materials• Prepares therapy areas for clients by following prescribed procedures and protocols for disinfecting, sterilizing, andmaintaining equipment• Maintains safe and clean environment of care by returning equipment to proper storage areas• Provides services consistent with established Easter Seals DFVR Mission, Values, and Philosophy• Maintains client confidentiality and respects the rights and dignity of all individuals
