I believe the most powerful tool I have as an art administrator, art educator and artist is my own humanity-that takes flight when the energy of my heart and the energy of my mind are equally balanced. The current global landscape of racial, cultural, socio-economic and environmental tensions can be overwhelming at times. Making, seeing and talking about works of art continually challenge me to open my heart and mind, and helps me better understand how to relate to the world. For me, inherent within the making process lies hope. Creative expression and intellectual curiosity, tempered with discipline and mastering skills are the foundation of my studio, teaching and administrative practices and continue to guide my career.

Executive DirectorRiver Gallery School Of Art Sep 2023 - PresentBrattleboro, Vermont, United StatesI am honored to be back at River Gallery. Having grown-up in Brattleboro and attended the school as a child from the day it opened—coming back to Vermont has brought me full circle. The legacy of River Gallery is built on generosity, joy, and being attentive to the natural impulse towards creativity + innovation. Looking towards the future, I hope to bring our programming beyond the walls of 32 Main St., out into the community to give even more people the opportunity to make art! -
