• Reporting to the President, oversees the Institution's fundraising activities and leads the planning and direction of the Institution's comprehensive Second Century Campaign, scheduled for public phase in October 2013 and expected to be announced as a $600 million campaign – the largest think tank campaign in history.• Leads a central development team of 22, and is chief liaison to the program development officers, on a $100 million annual budget for Brookings. • Directs and manages chief fundraising strategy for principal gifts for the organization, particularly those gifts that are institution-wide or cut across various programs. • Provides fundraising leadership, vision, campaign management and direction for major fundraising initiatives. • In concert with the President and the Managing Director, develops strategies for increased partnerships domestically, such as universities.* Manages two Board of Trustee committees--the Development Committee and the Second Century Campaign Cabinet--and works closely with the executive office and board leadership on vision, strategy and long-term engagement.

Senior member of the central University Advancement for the ASCEND campaign, supervising front line development team members – nearly all of central advancement’s unit-based fundraising staff.Responsible for leading and managing the $20 million Performing Arts Campaign, including all major fundraising.Provide leadership, vision and campaign management and direction for major fundraising campaign initiatives including the successful $15 million School of Art & Art History campaign. Carry a portfolio of 125 major gift prospects, with demonstrated success in submitting successful proposals for cash and blended gifts of $50,000 to $1 million.

Responsible for all development activities in the college, raising an average of $3 million per year. Demonstrated success at securing gifts in the range of $100,000 to $1 million levels.Exceeded cash fundraising goals in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. Raised one $1 million gift, one $375,000 gift, six $100,000 gifts, four $50,000+ gifts, and nine $25,000 gifts. Developed and raised 100% of philanthropic gifts to create and build the Career Management Center, including supervision of the construction, which opened under budget and on schedule. Integral member of the college’s executive team focusing on strategic planning and vision, which developed the new mission and vision statements as well as the priority needs for the $18 million Coggin College goal towards the university’s $125 million capital campaign goal.

Promoted from Annual Giving Manager in 1999 with demonstrated success in cultivating and securing major gifts in the five, six and seven-figure ranges.Directed and managed the Patrons' Circle, a membership group for major donors, including marketing, recognition, stewardship and special events. Initiated new benefits for giving levels in Patrons' Circle to encourage upgrades resulting in income increase of 51%. Responsible for major gift fundraising including endowment and planned giving within a $12 million campaign, as well as annual support programs including corporate, foundation and individual giving. Identified and cultivated corporate relationships for sponsorship support by developing solicitation strategies, proposal preparation and donor stewardship programs, resulting in income increase from $5,000/annually to $300,000/annually (plus $200,000 in in-kind contributions).
