Privacy And Data Protection Analyst
Current● Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement data-sharing and governance elements for biomedical research communities.● Monitor the issue ticketing system from reporting through resolution and coordinate responses focusing on iterative progress toward project goals and timely delivery of value to stakeholders.● Collaborate across the governance, engineering, and design teams to support the development of new platform features to help enable our data governance model.● Stay current in research and privacy regulations around biomedical data sharing.● Monitor incident/violation issue reporting, conduct root/cause analysis, and maintain security incident log for auditing and reporting. Coordinate investigation and communication with both internal and external stakeholders and report findings to Data Protection Officer.● Manage user access to sensitive data; this may include implementing conditions for data use, granting and troubleshooting user access, and facilitating anonymous manuscript reviews.● Contribute to writing standard operating procedures, data transfer and use agreements, and consent documents. ● Organize and provide critical pre-review of Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.● Evaluate internal and external processes related to research submissions, synthesize recommended corrective actions to investigators and staff as needed.● Retain current knowledge of human research protection and data privacy regulations. Assess impact on projects and develop recommendations for appropriate implementations.● Maintain compliance with applicable research guidelines and regulations and help with IRB and other regulatory filings.● Handle potentially sensitive and confidential data.● Occasionally represent Sage Bionetworks at public or scientific meetings.
