After graduating with a Masters of Music in Woodwind Performance and Pedagogy, I came back to Cleveland and began performing and teaching on a consistent basis. While I have been doing these things since 1995 this was the first time I was able to consider it as a successful business.Current performances:Cabaret @ Blank Canvas Theater: sub in for Reeds book. Little Women @ Medina: Reed 1 book for the run of the show.

Continuing my involvement with US Figure Skating learn to skate USA programs in educating adults and new skaters on the skills they can learn within an adaptive structure and fun social environment.

I work with development teams to test and create software solutions for document managment. I have worked with healthcare solutions within OnBase and now new product agnostic solutions. Recent projects:Creating a confluence template to guide quality development and testing conversations for new project development.

As a learn to skate instructor, I teach all levels of skating skills. My passion lies in the Basic 1 and above and all levels of adult learn to skate. I began skating as an adult so teaching adults holds a special place in my heart.

As an Adult Skating Committee member, I helped review new rule ideas and discrepancies in rules for standard track athletes that are not applied or applied unevenly for adult longevity in the sport. I would collaboratively come up with creative solutions or consistent standards to help the sport succeed in retaining skaters for life.ADULT SKATING COMMITTEE GOALS: • Maintain the unique culture of the U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships as both the premier competitive event and annual ‘family’ reunion. • Create and encourage the creation of programs to increase participation in the Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships and to increase their financial viability. • Generate and encourage the development of programs and policies that will help to facilitate a cultural shift that places a high value on longevity in the sport of figure skating. • Create and encourage the creation of new events and program opportunities focused on former standard track skaters, lower/non-test level adult skaters, recreational adult skaters, and non-skating adults who will enjoy skating for fitness. • Support U.S. Figure Skating’s Strategic Plan and its goals for membership growth and retention. • Standardize adult rules with the other U.S. Figure Skating disciplines and programs, when applicable. • Encourage the advancement of programs designed to help adult skaters prevent, reduce, and recover from injuries.

Volunteered as a Board member and adult advocate of the figure skating club.

I designed and instructed K-8 students in general music which included units on music theory, history, world music studies, and instrumental and vocal music education. Designed and directed 2 musical theater performances each year. Developed the band program from the ground up. Managed the pay to play aspect along with gaining sponsors for students who couldn’t afford the program.

I taught music education classes and education classes.

I continued to build the concert band program being creative with orchestration as the ensemble was 20 flutes with a total of 60 members. We began attending the OMEA large ensemble contest for experience which the students loved. I solidified the jazz band educational experience and began the string ensemble. I also taught an introduction to music course which included music theory and history units for any student at the school who was not in a performing ensemble.
