I possess the creativity, drive, and determination to succeed in any undertaking. I served as the lead attorney supporting multiple high-profile renewable energy and energy efficiency platforms of a major government agency’s Division of Clean Energy. These platforms included offshore wind, electric transmission infrastructure, solar, benchmarking of commercial buildings’ energy and water usage, energy efficient new construction, geothermal energy, wave and tidal, and electric vehicles (EVs). In this role, I advised on cutting-edge renewable energy technologies and policy, structured novel programs with senior staff, as well as innovate first-of-its-kind project financing requirements, determined project development milestones, and set parameters for groundbreaking offshore wind projects. In addition, I managed day-to-day platform issues, advised on the agency’s key strategic initiatives, and collaborated regularly with other federal and state agencies. I gained my finance and transaction training in top tier international law firms’ structured credit, debt financing, and securitization departments and in a major global investment bank as in-house counsel covering the fixed income platform. As an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School, I inspire others about clean energy, help students to obtain employment in the energy field, and win national writing contests. I also regularly publish in law reviews and trade journals, where my scholarship has been cited at the federal Circuit Court level. I'm also a frequent speaker on various energy and environmental law topics and policies. In addition, I founded an award-winning, environmentally-focused non-profit, chair several regional smart cities initiatives, and have led my town’s Environmental Commission to gain state-wide recognition for programs that I developed and led. Also, I've held a number of leadership positions in organizations dedicated to sharing knowledge about renewables and growing participation in the renewables industry. As Chair of the American Bar Association's Renewable, Alternative, and Distributed Energy Resources Committee in the Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, I coordinated symposiums and educational programs, grew membership to over 550 members, and played a substantial role in leading the committee to win Section-level awards during each of the three years I held this position, including Best Energy & Resources Committee. In addition, I served as Chair of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy's (WRISE's) Tri-State Chapter for a number of years.
