I am an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate with over 20 years experience working in Indian Country at the Tribal, State and Federal levels. After graduating from The Evergreen State College, I worked as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Select Committee on Indian Affairs before moving over to the House to work for then Democratic Congressmen Ben Nighthorse Campbell. I love policy work and making laws and legislation that improve the lives of Indian people. One of my recent positions was working for the Tribal Energy Program at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. I also consult for nonprofits working in Indian Country including Youthbuild USA, Heifer Project International, Potlatch Fund, the White Earth Land Recovery Project and the Indigenous Environmental Network.
