Leading a team of engineers in two locations supporting high end timing jitter attenuator and network synchronizer customers. The team is highly accountable for customer support including sustaining system level deep dives on legacy products. We are the primary contributors to a successful customer experience for on-time new product launches (evaluation boards, EVB manuals, reference manuals, application notes, FAQs, software feature testing, compliance standards testing for network synchronizer products and recommended references). The team takes on strategic technical projects to help win customers and create tools to scale the business. Scaled the team to bring up the knowledge across the wider team to support our new clock platforms.

Systems/Applications Engineering: I’ve worked in a few different areas of the company to develop a very broad skill set. I was a systems engineer in the sensor group for two years exploring new initiatives doing competitive comparisons and sensor pattern simulations with field solver tools such as EMX to analyze design trade offs in areas such as MEMS inertial sensors and multi touch sensors. I supported the microcontroller business in customer applications for 8 bit and 32 bit microcontroller designs. I spent 6 years working in timing focused on jitter attenuators products in both systems and customer facing roles to develop and grow new jitter attenuator products and business.

• Heavily engaged with the global sales and field application teams in both pre and post sales environment supporting new customer design activities. Created and delivered original content for seminars/training events/customer meetings including customer specific evaluation systems. Contributed to demand creation efforts for sensor and microcontroller efforts both with market development and direct customer meetings.• Developed Collateral (datasheets, application notes, demo boards, application software, drivers, competitive analysis) supporting several families of products, 20+ devices• Created hardware development tools integrating both digital and analog MEMS accelerometers on PCBs for customer evaluations and for internal silicon bring up involving hardware, firmware and software interface design• Wrote application code in C++ and C# for successful product evaluations and demonstrations enabling TIER1 customer (Cell Phone and Gaming) design wins• Developed all the silicon bring up test code and tests for analyzing and verifying the application tests for the new products to verify the silicon before production. Findings have been invaluable to the design team for re-spinning the device to fix logic errors before delivery to the customer.• Wrote firmware for IIC, SPI and SCI drivers to communicate with the hardware written in C on Freescale 8-bit microcontrollers• Developed internal “Accelerometer Applications Sales Guide” to enable the sales force to be highly educated to win against our competition which was directly linked to increased design win budget attainment by management• Support new product initiative based on experience, use cases of products and customer feedback• Daily customer support as the accelerometer sensor expert

Worked in both a design role and a customer facing role as the technical expert to help sell nano manipulator products and design research applications.• Created new patented process to do “Lift-out” using MEMS microgrippers • Awarded product design grant for the design of a 4-probe MEMS TEM positioning system• Supported demand creation at tradeshows and at customer facilities selling Zyvex robotic systems by providing technical demonstrations/presentations to initiate new sales• Conducted new experiments to support sales. Experiments involved multi-walled nanotube manipulation, characterization and assembly, MEMS pick and place experiments, IC Nanoprobing on 90nm technology, and life science experimentation with collagen fibers.• Published application notes on experiments using the Zyvex Nanomanipulator Systems• Experience using AFM, SEM, and dual beam FIB imaging and analysis • Experience with MEMS Design, MEMS Characterization, FEA (using ANSYS) on MEMS designs as part of R&D toward new product development• Created an intelligent automated MEMS characterization test system.• Published results of friction and creep experiments on MEMS devices in American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Journal of Engineering Materials and Technology
