Since attending a careers expo when I was fifteen years old, I knew a career in Food Technology was for me. It was something that combined two of my passions - science and food product design. In my six years of industry experience I have grown my technical knowledge by working with a range of products, including ready-to-eat chilled foods, dairy products, breakfast cereals, protein bars and sports supplements. My colleagues have come to describe my two biggest strengths as:- Being able to use an analytical approach to improve factory efficiencies- Identifying opportunities for new products in the creative spaceI have spent the past year on a working holiday in the adventure capital of Whistler, Canada. It has been an incredible experience but I am excited to continue on my journey as a Food Technologist. I hope to expand my business knowledge, particularly into the areas of consulting, continuous improvement, project management and marketing. I look forward to seeing what opportuntities arise on my career path!
