The purpose of the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics is to develop, promote, and lead transformational change that prioritizes the education, health and safety and success of college athletes.

Football (1999 - present, Head Football Physician 2013 - present), Women's Basketball (1998 - 2013), Men's and Women's Cross-Country and Track and Field (1998 - 2010), Women's Volleyball (1998 - 2002), Softball (1999 - 2000), Men's and Women's Swimming (1999 - 2000), Cheerleading (1999 - 2006).

Oversaw implemenation of conference wide injury surveillence program used for clinical, quality improvement and research purposes. Managed review and selection of research grants totaling over 15 million dollars into topics of benefit to the health and wellness of the student athlete. Managed $3.6 million dollar annual operating budget. Worked with Student Athlete Health and Wellness Board to set priorities and navigate funding challenges. Collaborated with university presidents/chancellors and athletic directors to determine ongoing funding model. Partnered with NCAA and Department of Defense to create agile concussion tracking and outcome system.

Advised NBPA on medical issues pertinent to player health and wellness. Served as NBPA representative at NBA Team Physician meetings at NBA draft and All-Star game. Worked with NBA team physicians on NBA Research Committee. Served on NBA Strategic Advisory Committee which developed, reviewed, and awareded four RFPs on osteoarthritis in the athlete, tendon injury, muscle injury and bone dress injury. Chaired tendon RFP.
