Created and revised ITP’s for many projects. Advised crew on specs and performed testing of coaters. Performed Quality Control Inspection on epoxy, injected PUR foam and sleeves on various sizes of pipe. I was responsible for all evaluation, destructive testing and appropriate paper work for the coating on the project. Assisted in onboarding new QCs and provided supervision. Worked closely with the Owners Inspector, the Foreman and the crew to ensure all specs were met with a focus on safety. Also worked with the QA to ensure that the turnover package complete and ready.

Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada

-Performed and documented tests (blasted surface, temp, dry film thickness, adhesion, hardness) on pipeline coating. Worked closely with Foreman, Quality Assurance and Transcanada Inspector to ensure the finished coating met the specs of the job. -Coordinated a crew of 7 laboures/2 trucks/picker and coil (boom and blast unit when needed). Directed crew to detect defects, prep surface, heat and repair coating. Did paperwork, ordered/loaded supplies, consulted other crews, transported labourers, prioritized tasks and carried out the work (doing the blasting, heating and brushing&rolling). Worked with little direction including acting as the foreman and doing appropriate paperwork and meetings.

-Helped Foreman shoot bends for a pipeline (used blueprints, points of intersection, transit) Wrote bends, carry back, start joints, etc. on pipe for bending and welding. -Gave direction to a green crew. Taught them to set seems, park bending machine and set up. -Did all Quality Control documentation.

-Worked on the mainline coating crew operating a coil. Also worked on coating repair crew. Used holiday detector, sanded and heated the pipe (torch and coil), mixed and applied coating.- Was responsible for driving the cube van in and out of Coldlake Air Weapons Range. Worked independently.

-Loaded supplies, checked environmental conditions, prepped surface, mixed coating and brushed and rolled above ground structures. -Set up, filled the pot, did man watch and cleaned up blast unit. -Set up spray unit, prepped surface, striped welds, mixed coating for internals of tanks.

-Set out welding rig, ground, buffed, ran the controls and performed housekeeping duties so the Welder could efficiently do his job. -Loaded coating and supplies, preheated pipe, mixed the coating, did man watch, loaded sand, brushed and rolled and holiday detected. Worked in the refinery to complete the job.

Marked of ROW, placed signage, put up goal posts, stepped off hotlines, directed construction of ramps, protected delicate areas with separation, geotech, ramps, silt fence. Maintained fence lines. Worked closely with line locators, hydrovacs environmental reps and landowners.
