Trained as a Medical Technologist at University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. First position was as in chemistry at BMC-Jax; obtained Florida State supervisor's license in 1986 and opened a satellite STAT lab for Baptist located on the first floor of the Pavilion. Became the weekend supervisor for BMCJ in 1989-1991. Took one year off after the birth of my second child and then worked as a Medical Technologist in several different capacities until being rehired at BMC-Jax in 2001 in the Hematology Department. Was promoted to System Laboratory Qualtiy Assurance Coordinator in 2005, BMC-Jax Operation's Manager in 2007; BMC-South Lab Director in 2009; opened BECC Laboratory in 2013. Based on my experience with opening laboratories, I also was assigned to open the laboratory at Baptist Emergency Center at Town Center in April 2016.
