KIMBERLY HUNTER has a degree in Construction Management with over twenty-five (25) years of career experience in the commercial construction and facilities management industry. She has completed over five hundred (500) commercial construction projects both ground-up and tenant improvements. She has built and maintained buildings for high-end restaurants and retail stores to financial institutions, from high rise offices to industrial and manufacturing buildings and everything in between.     As the resident construction and facilities expert for McKenna & Company, Kimberly is in charge of business development for McKenna's new Construction, Facilities and Corporate Solutions Management Division. Kimberly is actively involved in all construction projects and facility maintenance issues. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to: Vendor and contractor management. Developing both short and long range property, facility and capital improvement budgets and plans and then coordinating projects within the budgeted parameters and schedules. Developing and implementing design criteria, standards and best practices. Works and manages a team of architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to improve facilities aesthetics, performance and reliability. Regularly reviews regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, ADA, and local Energy, Building and Fire codes and ensures that all properties and buildings are in compliance. Risk & Safety Management (Business Continuity), including the development and implementation of Emergency Preparedness, Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Plans for the entire McKenna property portfolio and their associated tenants, vendor & contractor contracts and insurance.Understanding that property owners, corporations and tenants are more conscious of their economic, social and environmental responsibilities to this and future generations; Kimberly is looking into the best and most economical ways to incorporate and implement sustainable construction practices into McKenna & Company’s current property portfolios design criteria i.e. Landscaping & Irrigation, HVAV, Lighting, Finish Materials, Roofing, and etc… She is also working toward obtaining her LEED certification. Kimberly provides on-going education and training to McKenna & Company’s Property Managers and support staff so that they can better serve their property owners and tenants while managing the everyday operations of their properties.
