With over 20 years of experience in the field of special education, I am passionate about improving the outcomes and opportunities for students with sensory disabilities. As a previous Technical Assistance Specialist at Utah State University, I provided research-based guidance and support to State Education Agencies, Educators, and Organizations across the Nation. As adjunct faculty at Ball State University, I teach graduate-level courses in American Sign Language, drawing on my background as a certified Educational Interpreter. I am also a Fellow with the National Leadership Consortium in Sensory Disabilities, where I collaborate with other professionals and researchers to advance the knowledge and practice in the field. My skills include research, training, education, and facilitation, as well as proficiency in American Sign Language and English. I hold a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Portland, and a BASc in American Sign Language Interpretation from Siena Heights University. My mission is to empower and inspire students, educators, and stakeholders to create inclusive and accessible learning environments for all.
