Kimberly is a video and photo journalist with reporting experience in Mexico, Kenya, Israel, Morocco, and the United States.With a focus on migration, human rights issues, and climate change, Kimberly has created documentaries on the asylum crisis in the U.S., displacement at a refugee camp in Kenya, the rise of sustainable farming practices in post-hurricane Puerto Rico, undocumented youth living in the United States, and more. She has extensive experience in all stages of video production, in addition to on-camera work for social media platforms.Kimberly hopes her work, especially in non-narrated long form, gives agency to people, changing them from subjects to storytellers.She is currently managing a production team that serves sister brands TNM and The Recount, where she oversees the production of their YT content and special formats on socials platforms. In this role, she has created workplace systems and processes to support high production value projects, manages talent & producers on set, in the field, and in office, ensures editorial consistency and quality assurance for platform-specific content, and maximizes optimization to drive engagement.Kimberly earned a masters degree in international reporting and visual storytelling from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelors degree in journalism with a minor in sociology from St. John's University.
