Current• Conduct thorough histories and physical exams on adult patients at a Level II Trauma Center to develop appropriate differential diagnoses, treatment plans, and dispositions.• Order/interpret laboratory and radiologic studies.• Perform procedures including, but not limited to: suturing, dislocation reductions, hematoma blocks, incision and drainage, joint injections, splinting, foreign body removal, and wound care.• Collaborate with attending physicians, consultants, social workers, case managers, and nurses to coordinate comprehensive patient care in the main emergency department, triage, and observation unit setting.• Provide health education to patients/families and offer community resources/specialist referrals to facilitate continued patient care in the outpatient setting.• Maintain professional growth and development by attending continued medical education courses, journal clubs, and in-service meetings.
