Doctor Of Audiology ExternCleveland Clinic Jun 2016 - May 2017Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area-Administer adult and pediatric audiologic assessments: otoscopy, pure-tone audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes and decay, speech audiometry, distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE), visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA), and conditioned play audiometry (CPA)-Perform and interpret comprehensive vestibular assessments with adults and a limited pediatric population: bedside examinations, functional measures, rotary chair, cervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (cVEMP and oVEMP), electrocochleography (ECOG), vestibular head impulse test (vHIT), videonystagmography (VNG), and positional and caloric testing -Complete electrophysiologic assessments within the operating room including auditory brainstem response (ABR) and auditory steady-state response (ASSR) -Utilize several patient questionnaires to aid in diagnosis and treatment of hearing and balance disorders -Provide adult rehabilitation services such as hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid and assistive device fittings including verification and validation measures, and troubleshooting appointments -Perform cochlear implantation evaluations and make recommendations for review by the Hearing Implant Program (HIP) team -Manage and monitor cochlear implant recipients through regular follow-up and troubleshooting appointments for pediatric and adult populations -Proficient with Phonak, Oticon, GN ReSound, and Cochlear Americas technology -Participate in Shared Medical Appointments with other healthcare providers focusing on vestibular disorders -Perform treatment maneuvers for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) -Attend meetings/trainings highlighting various devices and software, including Cochlear Americas, MedEl, Advanced Bionics, Phonak, Oticon, and GN ReSound -
