About Kimberly Maloney

I received my Bachelor of Art in English Literature from Edinboro University in December 2005. I then went back for my Master of Education with Certification in English 7-12 in August 2008, and graduated with my M.Ed. in May 2010. I worked as a long term English substitute at Meadville Area High School in Meadville, Pennsylvania from August 2010 to November 2010. During the 2011-2012 school year I accepted a 7th grade Language Arts teaching position in Buckeye, Arizona at Tartesso Elementary School in the Saddle Mountain School District. While there, I also worked as the Assistant Softball Coach. This job gave me an opportunity to work in a rural area, as well as the opportunity to work closely with ESL students every day. The following year, during the 2012-2013 school year, I moved to work in Hampton, Virginia, teaching 9th grade English at Hampton High School for the Hampton City School District. This position allowed me to work in an urban school. Both of these opportunities, plus my position as a GED/Diploma Instructor in Titusville, Pennsylvania, have helped to make me a well-rounded educator.
