Director, choreographer and designer of 1 Musical Theater production, 2 full length plays, and 1 one act MT Thespian Festival production yearly. In addition teaches Play Production, Intro to Theater and Advanced Theater courses both in-person and online.

Director of Theater responsibilities include directing 1 fall play, 1 one act play, and 1 large musical each instructional year (Aug-May). Along with directing performers, designing and constructing sets, gathering and building properties, designing and constructing costumes, and publicizing productions are all expected duties with each production. Great effort is also poured into community relations, fundraising opportunities, and community outreach programs in an effort to gain support.Teaches English II (sophomore), Honors English II, Drama I and Drama II, and Independent Reading. Past years have also included teaching ACT Prep and Creative Writing. Enrollment in Drama electives has quadrupled since arrival at WCHS, with Drama II being added to accommodate student interest.. Strong planning and organization skills are critical. In addition, IEP and 504 Plan students are integrated into the traditional classes, demanding flexibility with assessment design and lesson presentations on a daily basis. An energetic, driven personality is also a key component in this demanding position, despite the numerous responsibilities required for these teaching and directing duties. Building a positive connection which aids student learning and motivation to succeed is absolutely essential, in the theater and the classroom, as WCHS expands its core and extracurricular offerings.

Instructor for English II (grade 10) and Speech (grades 9-12) at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls. Daily duties include creating & organizing original lesson plans, working with students of all achievement levels, communicating with other staff, communicating with students' family members, collaborating with administration, and generating a creative learning environment. Generally creates active lessons which cater to hands-on & auditory learners.

Wrote and edited publicity articles/scripts for print, radio and television promotions. Performed in-character, in-costume to promote various theater productions to people of all ages. Attended interviews and events to perform song samples and promote local theater and the arts.

Supervised and organized events for children age 6-14 in the areas of Nature, Art & Theater. Personally escorted and attended to the needs of 8-10 children over a 2 week period as they attend camp activities and events. Communicated with parents, staff members and children of all ages daily.
