DCSS Supervisor - 4 Years Supervise a legal enforcement unit of 10+ case managers and legal secretaries for establishing and enforcing child support obligations. Complete and e-file legal documents including, Summons, Complaint, Motions, and Contempts. Calculate child support obligations using state guideline calculator. Manage complex and high-priority cases, attend court with the DCSS attorney and assist with child support hearings. Provide sworn testimony on cases during child support hearings. Monitors caseloads for assigned team ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines. Interprets and applies state, federal and agency laws, rules, policies and procedures. Provide human resources management for assigned staff including interviewing, hiring and training new and veteran staff.

Educate customers on child support processes and procedures, outreach programs and self-service options. Manage a caseload of approximately 500+, for establishment and enforcement of child support cases. Establish support and paternity for non-custodial parents. Interviewing clients in office, via telephone, email. Contact with attorneys, employers and other child support agencies. Negotiate child support obligations with obligors in office and at hearings. Attend court and assist the DCSS attorney with child support obligations for establishment cases. Complete locate actions to find assets, income and other information for obligors. Calculate child support amounts using state guideline calculators. Prepare and process legal documents for establishing and enforcing child support against obligors including Summons, Complaints, Motions and filing a Contempt. Review legal filings from Obligors’ including Answers and complete cases for the DCSS attorney or discovery. Attend DCSS court hearings and assist the attorneys with pre-trial negotiations. Complete enforcement actions against a delinquent obligor, including request suspension of drivers’ licenses and reviewing or referring cases for a Contempt action.
