My name is Kimberly Mutula, prefer to be called Kimmy. I did my Bachelors degree in Computer science at the university of Venda where I graduated with Cum Laude and also awarded as the Best Student in BSC Computer Science. I consider myself to be an analytical person who also pays attention to detail. I like identifying problems and finding solutions to those problems using technology. I do enjoy a good challenge. This motivated me to take part in a hackerthon that was hosted by TBF and Empire Partners. The solution our team came up with came second place. And I also took part in another Intervarsity hackerthon hosted by Tswane University of Technology, though we did not win I did gain a few experiences on how to better pitch solutions and how to make sure that the solution solves the problem effectively. I also volunteered to work with a group of youths to develop an educational application for high school and tertiary students. I was the lead developer, my main duties were to develop certain parts of the application and integrate. We used visual studio as our IDE and Flutter and dart. During the course of my degree I learned how to code with Java and C++. I also consider myself to be a good leader as I was a class rep for a total of 15 modules from my first year until final year, and I was always nominated to be a group/team leader. So far this year I have gained intermediate knowledge in using Angular, C#, and enhanced my flutter skills , Power BI and SQL server management skills. As well as learning how to create APIs, and Azure Fundamentals. I intend on acquiring more knowledge to grow my career, and the company I work for, and so that I can be able to assimilate new ideas more efficiently.
