Kimberly Reeder Email and Phone Number
I have many years of experience as a program developer, program administrator. and supported employment and psychiatric rehabilitation professional. However, I want to finally incorporate that experience with my passion for health education and promotion. I became the MAPSS 2001 Practitioner of the Year for my Health and Wellness efforts, but wanted to do more. In January I was able to quit my job (and very long commute) to pursue health studies full-time online with the University of Alabama. I want to incorporate what I learn with my experience in psychiatric rehabilitation to play a role in improving the health of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, whose life expectancy is currently 25 years shorter than the average American's. I hope to graduate and pass the Certified Health Education Specialist exam by 2015. What the next step will be I am not sure...but excited to find out!
