I am originally from a small town in rural Michigan. My parents own a 20-acre lot where my father harvested a large garden, raised pigs and chickens, and is an avid hunter and fisherman. I was fortunate to have a mentor cultivate and nourish thoughts and passions that contribute to my health, hobbies, and now, my future. I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2013 to pursue my bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services with a concentration in Nutrition - Dietetics and a minor in Gerontology. Throughout my college career, I've maintained a bartender position at a local restaurant where I gained knowledge about food safety, customer service, and time-management. I've also been able to create relationships with relatable guests, which helped develop my interest in the geriatric population. In my senior year at college, I help a Nutrition Coordinator position at an Early Childhood Center that is affiliated with Colorado State University. This experience has given me experience within a leadership role, budgets, ordering, and overall managerial experience in running a kitchen.
