I have worked with children from infancy-12 years old in multiple settings, such as after school programs, preschools, child care centers, elementary schools, and summer camps. I feel I can enhance an Education program in several ways. I have been successful in guiding fellow teachers who have worked beside me, and I have held positive relationships with the staff, parents and children I have worked with.I have strong collaboration and implementation skills for training others. I have experience creating content for Professional Development and facilitating meeting independently. I am a quick learner and I can multitask with ease due to my strong organizational skills. I prioritize my work and meet deadlines effectively. I am an open-minded, dependable, approachable, caring, friendly person that children and the staff I work belong side are often drawn to. I realize in the field of education, I should also exemplify characteristics of being responsible, confident, and organized which is what you will find within me. I take initiative with ease, even when I am thrown into new environments, and have strong parent interactions. Parents and other staff tend to respond well to me and feel comfortable enough to express the needs of their families. In addition to my experience, I have a strong educational background, beginning with an A.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences from De Anza College, a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University and an M.A. in Human Development with an emphasis on Social Change from Pacific Oaks College.
