Hello. My name is Kimberly and I help children and families heal through play therapy. Play therapy is a structured, theoretically based approach to therapy that is strategically used to help children express what is troubling them. I truly enjoy helping people, and I know therapy can transform lives. After twenty plus years, I'm endlessly moved by the healing families achieve and for allowing me to be a guide to their success. I provide child therapy, teen therapy, family therapy and parent coaching in my psychotherapy practice, Evergreen Play Therapy in Seattle, Washington and remotely to Californians through Caring Hearts Play Therapy. Additionally, I've conducted workshops, webinars and clinical training focused on child and play therapy for professionals locally and internationally. Some of my specialties include trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity, childhood depression, and others. In addition to twenty years of direct treatment services, I have managed therapeutic programs for high-risk youth in outpatient mental health settings for over five years. Some treatment programs I've managed have included children and teens that have transitioned out of inpatient psychiatric care, youth at risk for hospitalization, and traumatized foster youth. I have developed group therapy curriculum that incorporates the therapeutic use of wilderness and play therapy as a Wilderness Therapist/Coordinator for Childhelp, a national organization and 84 bed facility. I've been Adjunct Faculty at the graduate level for Master of Science Counseling and Master of Science Marriage, Family and Child Therapy degree program at University of Phoenix.
