Kim is a physician/scientist and entrepreneur with a demonstrated eye for innovation in healthcare in clinical science, basic science, digital health, and medical communication. For decades, she has had the privilege of participating in cutting-edge scientific and clinical developments in these arenas. She has also had administrative experience in clinical medicine, the healthcare startup sector, and medical communications. Always mission-driven, she seeks those ventures that have a vision for moving the needle in healthcare. With over 25 years of experience in academic research and clinical practice, she has extensive experience in utilizing evidence-based data to derive solutions to clinical problems. She has run divisions in pediatric cardiac surgery and transplantation and has been one of the directors of a large research institute. She founded the venture Play-it Health to tackle non-adherence, one of the largest pain points in the patients she treated. Play-it Health designs software that tracks, scores, and incentivizes adherence to prescribed health regimens utilizing remote patient monitoring. She recently founded Remote Care Docs to provide the services to execute the associated clinical functionalities. Selected as one of the nation's top doctors within a few years of completing her training, her leadership was also recognized recently by Forbes when Play-it Health was named a woman-led startup driving the future of fem and health tech. When she is not engaging in the activities above, Kim is supporting her husband and daughter in their exciting adventures, playing tennis with her daughter, or playing the piano.
