I’m a multi-disciplinary engineer with 10+ years of experience spanning aerospace & defense, space exploration, life sciences, and consumer products industries. Currently, I work as a Product Engineer and Laboratory Manager for Lifoam Industries in Baltimore. My job allows me the chance to work closely with engineers, sales, customers, and operations to develop, test and deploy new cold chain logistics solutions for life sciences and healthcare customers. Additionally, I'm responsible for sustainability testing and certification initiatives for supporting claims on new product development using compostable bioplastic materials. My strength lies in my ability to liaise between multiple functions and translate technical topics to non-technical audiences, and vise-versa. Previously, I was a Mechanical & Structural Design engineer for The Boeing Company where I had a chance to hone my technical skills by working on the next generation of human spaceflight via the CST-100 Starliner. During my tenure at Boeing, I focused on the design and fabrication of high-temperature curing aerospace composite structures for heat shield applications.

The class focused on using the assertion-evidence slide design for the purpose of technical presentations. Duties included administrative tasks and running critique sessions for 28 students.Employed as a Teaching Intern for the Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department under professor Stephen Turns. Attended an eight-week training seminar on teaching strategies through the Leonhard Center. Duties included administrative tasks and holding review sessions for two junior-level fluid dynamics classes in fall 2010 and one sophomore-level thermodynamics class in spring 2011. -
Mechanical Design Co-OpPratt & Whitney Jun 2011 - Dec 2011East Hartford, Ct, UsCompleted a six month assignment in the Hot Section Engineering Combusters, Augmentors, and Nozzles (CAN) Module Center, working detailed design and production support tasks for the exhaust systems (nozzle and liners) of the F119 military jet engine (powering the F-22 Raptor). Completed over 40 hours of on-the-job training, including Unigraphics NX and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Spearheaded a multi-university committee of 10 interns to present a solution to senior level executives on how to improve the internship program (Solution was accepted outright and provided manpower and $20K budget for 2012 intern class). -
Nuclear Analysis InternGe Power & Water Jun 2010 - Aug 2010Schenectady, Ny, UsWorked as a member of the Stability and Radiological Nuclear Analysis Center of Excellence for one of the leading boiling water reactor fuel vendors in the country. Utilized the GE version of a transient reactor analysis code (TRACG), as well as the 3D modeling code PANAC11 to do thermal hydraulic and neutronics calculations on a phenomena known as rod drop accidents. Also planned a 10-person skydiving trip for interns as a member of the social ambassadors committee. -
Reactor Engineering InternExelon Nuclear Jun 2009 - Aug 2009Baltimore, Maryland, UsWorked on-site at a dual-unit boiling water reactor nuclear power plant (Limerick Generating Station) as a member of the Reactor Engineering group. Maximized the efficiency of the fuel shuffling process during reloading outages by using ShuffleWorks to determine optimal operating parameters. Identified 804 fuel bundles ineligible for dry storage to increase the capacity of spent fuel pools while maintaining fuel history sheets for bundles being moved into dry storage.
