Pickle Robot Company builds low-cost, collaborative, autonomous parcel handling robots that sort, induct, singulate, palletize, and depalletize for companies. Our first robot, Dill, uses a combination of A.I., computer vision, reinforcement learning, and motion planning to pick up and put down parcels in messy production environments. We purpose-built Dill so it can work collaboratively with people in and around the loading dock. Parcel handling is a physically demanding job with extremely high rates of turnover. The rising costs of shipping, comprised of 2/3rds labor, have become a major bottleneck to continued growth in e-commerce. We’ve built a solution that automates the hard work, so people can do what they’re best at, solving complex problems.

Executive officer of an emergency ventilator engineering R&D team, managing technical resources, team project management and communication, and external collaboration. MIT E-Vent is the technical resource center for Covid-related emergency ventilator manufacturing and design. Our reference toolkit resulted in a successful FDA emergency-use-authorization ventilator approval and hundreds of ventilators designed, produced, and manufactured in the United States, Ireland, Mexico, Chile, India, Zimbabwe, and Thailand.
