As the chief leader of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, the first and oldest nonprofit in Nevada serving children and families facing childhood cancer, I am primarily responsible for ensuring Candlelighters is well-positioned to meet the needs of the families we serve today and well-into the future. This includes charting an ambitious vision, driving mission-delivery and fundraising success, and ensuring financial and personnel management best practices.

As the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, I play the lead role in building and stewarding relationships with key stakeholders, championing community initiatives, and ensuring the success of mediated experiences. Current responsibilities include direct oversight of 5 departments: community partnerships, volunteer program, membership, individual and corporate giving, and mediated experiences.• Revamped membership program to include new levels and benefits• Continued increases in revenue and unique donors year-over-year in major gifts and annual giving program• Expanded types of volunteer roles and provided more structure to internship programs for high school students• Led the expansion of the Advisory Council from 8 to 58 members, laying its new foundation and helping to identify, invite, and steward members• Played key role in obtaining New Markets Tax Credit Funding (NMTC) by master-minding and implementing the Community Benefits Agreement• Shepherded the Museum through its AAM accreditation process• Launched new ticketed experiences in 2018 and manage the daily operations, ensuring its operational efficacy• Secured first multi-year corporate sponsorship, resulting in over $200k of new revenue

Responsible for developing meaningful relationships with businesses and individuals that supports and contributes to The Mob Museum's educational mission to advance the public understanding of organized crime's history and impact on American society.• Handle strategic oversight of the Museum’s membership program of 1,500 members• Launched major gifts program and annual giving fund• Developed the Volunteer Program and currently oversee its nearly 100 volunteers, contributing 12,000 hours each year• Envisioned the educational outreach program and secured a $50k grant to fund its start; expanded program to include outreach to low-income seniors• Oversaw the creation of the the Museum's case for support and fundraising plan

I oversaw the day-to-day operations of four senior programs including those affiliated with Senior Corps- Foster Grandparent Program, Senior Companion Program, and Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Senior Corps is a national program that impacts community change by providing volunteer opportunities to older Americans age 55 and over. Managed 6 full-time staff, 9 part-time staff, and 700 volunteers.• Created strong relationships with granting agencies and successfully managed and maintained multiple federal, state, and local grants• Developed new partnerships and funding streams resulting in $60,000 of new program revenue• Collaborated with over 30 schools and 10 host sites, placing volunteers in meaningful roles• Navigated budget cuts and staff reductions, as a result of economic downturn, without compromising quality of client services• Evaluated and revised program measurements to ensure highest quality of programming results• Fostered a work environment that encouraged collaboration and teamwork; facilitated the creation of team values and vision among staff

As a resettlement agency, this organization is responsible for providing housing, financial assistance, English language skills, and job search opportunities for refugees and asylees making their home in Southern Nevada. The Assistant Director position assisted in overseeing administrative staff, ensuring compliance with grants and federal guidelines, handling family reunification petitions, and helping the Director in meeting the goals of the program and the organization. Supervised day-to-day operations, managing 6 full time employees.• Tracked and reported program’s annual activities ($4.5M) to federal, state, and private grantors• Improved intake process for clients that added more appointments and reduced wait time• Oversaw complex immigration filings and petitions on behalf of clients• Led departmental restructuring, resulting in improved delivery of services and reduced costs
