  • La Fitness
    Personal Training Director
    La Fitness Sep 2018 - Oct 2018
    Mukilteo, Wa
Sales. I called, scheduled, and negotiated with over 100 clients explaining the gyms facilities and my passion in personal training to the customer’s, and closed $48,685 in three months of sales, exceeding sales quotas. Management. With a multitude of potential clients coming into the gym throughout the day. I ensured that all Personal Training Consultants kept up with filing appropriate paperwork and cleaning the sales desks area, after each client. Team Building. The Mukilteo LA Fitness is a brand-new gym with many new employees. I shadowed, trained, and developed six new Personal Training Consultants on LA Fitness regulations and how to close a sale. This resulted in 83% of the team meeting sales quotas, with the last one still being too new to reach quota. Customer Service. I conducted over 100 introductory training sessions for potential clients and pitched each client on personal training packages, maintaining over a rate of over 50% client closure. Leadership. As the Personal Training Director, there was an incident in the club while I was on lunch, where an employee was assaulted by a client. The General Manager of the club wasn’t going to report the incident and mishandled it after being reminded of corporate policy. I took over the situation, had the police called, filed the appropriate forms, and prevented a potential lawsuit from happening. Upper management thanked me for taking the right course of action and setting the right example.

While patrolling the highway and monitoring for infractions on the road, I had to evaluate what infractions were more detrimental to public safety and ensure that I allocated my time and resources towards problems that cause greater harm. Flexible. The public looks at the State Troopers for guidance and direction, so during 20 vehicle collisions I had to verbally guide and direct the public and others on the scene to safety hazards and issues that needed immediate attention. In 2 months I handled 20 Collisions, 25 DUI, 108 speeding incidences, and 1 stolen vehicle that I successfully identified and recovered. All requiring coordination with other agencies and people involved while keeping track of all information needed for reports.Microsoft Office. Authored 82 reports in Microsoft Word, which had to be set to the proper formats and reviewed within Word. Reports we’re sent off to the Washington District Courts, where they would be used in a court of law. Accounted for all time and activity within Microsoft Excel. • Urban Fitness
    Personal Trainer
    Urban Fitness Nov 2016 - Aug 2017
    Mount Vernon, Wa
Personalized Fitness. I had a client who wanted to lose more weight for an upcoming event, I went over potential plans with her, and got her to commit to four personal training sessions a week from her previous two sessions a week. This resulted in a two-inch loss around her waistline, making her goal, for her event. Rehabilitation. A client who was morbidly obese and had knee problems, came in seeking to lose weight and to be able to get up off the ground without assistance. I prescribed an exercise program tailored around their medical issues which resulted in them being able to get off the ground by themselves by month four. They reported having less knee pain and we're able to touch the ground while standing by month six.Time Management. Membership goals are always one the highest priorities in a gym and so between working with my eleven consistent clients, I made time to work with new clients and sell them on a gym membership and personal training, personally bringing in 19 new clients. Event Planning. In order to help kick start client’s motivation, I led the planning and group exercise for the Urban Fitness Summer Bootcamp. Class sizes ranged from 20-40 people and the boot camp lasted three months and I kept the class motivated by keeping the workouts fun and challenging for all levels throughout each workout. Sales. To make a workout plan that pushes a client, I would run potential clients and current clients through a basic physical fitness exam and medical history survey. In ten months I trained and documented 120 clients that resulted in 16% signing up for ongoing personal training sessions.
  • Lake Cavanaugh Farm
    Agricultural Engineer
Lake Cavanaugh Farm Jun 2015 - Aug 2017
    Mount Vernon, Wa.
Attention-to-Detail. Crops can get contaminated and spread through the ground to other crops nearby making them unable to go to market. I inspected the crops and found early signs of crop disease that I isolated and removed the crops, which prevented a potential $18,000 product loss. Team Leadership. Every year crops would be rotated which meant the irrigation system had to be changed every year. I led a team in the design of the irrigation system for the primary cash crops, which resulted in a steady supply of water and the growth of more crops than the previous year.Organization. Overtime a farm can become very unorganized causing employees to spend more time looking for tools than working on the farm. I organized farm inventory and equipment which expedited the process and execution of planting and maintenance of crops.Troubleshooting. Lake Cavanaugh Farm is a small farm that does not employ anyone strictly for computer networking. I quickly took the responsibility and set up the computers, internet connectivity, calibrating specialized equipment, and troubleshooting all computer related issues.
