Developed and managed clinical research program totaling approximately $1 million for investigations of psychoactive drug actions and cerebral blood flow using multimodal imaging with acute drug and tracer administrations in human research volunteers. Maintained relationships, correspondence, and compliance with multiple internal and outside regulatory organizations. Extensive experience teaching and supervising postdoctoral fellows, biomedical engineers, psychiatry residents, graduate students, research assistants, and nonexperts from diverse scientific disciplines.

Performed neuroimaging studies using positron emission tomography (PET), microPET, and structural and functional MRI to image binding sites and substrates of pharmacological actions in human research volunteers and various animal models. Topics investigated include PET and fMRI imaging of mechanisms affecting the neuronal substrates of methylphenidate action, and PET imaging of both in vivo interactions of deprenyl with monoamine oxidase, and of spontaneous obesity.

Performed behavioral pharmacology and neuroimaging investigations along with radiotracer development studies using PET imaging to quantify and visualize the receptor binding of biologically active and individually optimized doses of psychostimulants in the context of cocaine medications development projects.
