I have always been a person drawn to nature and the simple beauty that exists around us. This was no surprise when my studies lead me to the maritime industry. Therefore it was my goal to become a professional within this particular industry. I graduated with a BSc in Nautical Science/ Maritime Operations in 2017 at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. My student project, Importance of Small Commercial Vessels to Trinidad and Tobago, investigated the status of the local and regional standards of construction and emergency equipment for small commercial vessels operation in the Caribbean region. In 2019 I've graduated with a MSc in Operational Maritime Management at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. My thesis, An Assessment of Free Trade Zones and the Impacts on the Development of Trinidad and Tobago Ports, explored the development of the country’s economy through the implementation of free trade zones around its ports of entry. Currently I am senior executive assistant to the chief executive officer of an oil and gas company. Where my skills and theoretical knowledge can be applied in the development and management of the industry.
