Empowering and guiding schools to introduce computer science education using the Codesters platform for teaching python. Provide on-boarding and support to teachers across the country with special focus on Arkansas and supporting larger district sales. Responsible for supporting the Hackergal Hackathons each with over 2000 girls across Canada. Hackathons are in June and December and have leveled curriculum to challenge returning students.

Delivering curriculum and creating exposure activities to introduce the girls to role models, companies, and the diversity of tech jobs that are available to them. Project based curriculum utilizing Python (Codesters) and Web development (Khan Academy).Planned and executed a Women in IT panel discussion. Six very diverse women working in IT shared their journey and passion for their profession.

Ridgefield, Connecticut

Co-developed and executed a comprehensive proposal with Christine Rodriguez for a town wide approach to implement Hour of Code in Ridgefield, CT bringing together the Ridgefield Library, Ridgefield Public Schools, and the Ridgefield Education Foundation. 400 students and families attended.Created a website directory of self-guided coding tutorials that linked to the Ridgefield Library summer reading system so students could log hours of code completed for raffle tickets.

Created and taught enrichment classes for children ages 3-5. Classes included, drama, cooking, adventures in literature, messy fun, alphabet explorers and science. Co-developed and taught science, drama, and cooking camps. The goal of the science camp in particular was to expose children to a wide variety of topics, build confidence and an inquisitive mind and instill a love of STEAM to carry with them into elementary school.
