Distributed solar energy (generated and used onsite) is playing an increasingly significant role in diversifying our energy portfolio. Key to successful RE deployment is identifying and marketing to optimal RE customers from the outset, in context of both project engineering, and in securing cost offsets/incentives from federal, state, local, and utilities. The array of incentives includes straight grants, tax incentives, credits, SRECs and the like. I develop, package and employ strategies to keep the financing of these projects flowing properly against regulatory expectations. Tracking regulatory policy - especially at the state level - and smoothing the local permitting process round out the importance of good government relations. I developed large-scale business plans and project proposals, including representing the critical role of renewable energy financing in the RE business model. I was responsible for contracts, manuals, knowledge transfer and training, and credentialing. I managed customer engagements from inception through project deployment and acceptance.
