I share my passion for literature and writing with students in the International Section (OIB - 'Option Internationale du Baccalauréat'), preparing students for the OIB English Literature exams, as well as IGCSE English Literature and IGCSE English First Language Exams.I also take part in various school events and class projects (such as holiday activities with the English-teaching team, or Olympic Games Sports Day, an English and PE joint project), have accompanied our students on various exchanges (with partner schools in York, UK and Buffalo, NY), youth summits (Loudoun County, VA) and organized literature-oriented field trips for our high schoolers (England).

At Bement's English Language and American Culture camp, I worked with seventeen young ELL learners (aged 7 - 12) from Asia. I planned and taught thematic units for students of varying language levels, including elements of both American and local culture as well as grammar and vocabulary points.As a dorm parent, I watched over our students in their daily life on campus (housing, meals, studies) as well as accompanied them on cultural outings (theater, museums, etc).

In order to prepare students for the competitive engineering school entrance exams, I selected thematic current events articles. Students had thirty minutes to read and present a twenty-minute oral commentary on the subject, drawing both from the article and their personal knowledge of the subject.I also wrote and corrected French-to-English translation sentences relating to the themes.

I taught English to students in a five-year program working towards a career in the Merchant Navy, both in a year-round program for second and fifth year students and in two, week-long intensive seminars for first and third year students. I also provided fifth year students with help editing their English summaries of their master's theses as well as professional help (CVs, cover letters).I also authored official entrance and exit English exams for the school's four campuses.

I taught business English to students in the third year (general) as well as the fifth year (MBA - Entrepreneurship). I also prepared students for the TOEIC exam (graduation requirement of a score of 750).Other duties included oral entrance exams for school applicants, participating in the intensive three-day English seminar for new students, and being a jury member for students presenting their mandatory six-week internship abroad following their fourth year.

I was responsible both for validating student language levels as well as processing students' teacher evaluations and reporting back to the Dean of School. I also took part in both language teacher hiring and student application processing.I also taught general English classes to first and second year students in a five-year political science program.

I also proposed various cultural enrichment activities (American movie outings, English picnics, etc).I also taught one-on-one VIP classes for businessmen as well as traditional classes.

RadioRiot was a start-up designed to combine traditional radio show elements with Interactive web media elements of the period - chat, forums, polls, etc.I was responsible for overseeing everything related to these interactive elements, as well as training the rest of the staff how they worked and how to use moderation tools.

PlugIn / On The Line was an interactive teen site on AOL.Originally hired as a host for the chat team, I later became the head of the message boards team. I trained and oversaw a team of ten message boards hosts from all over the country. I also oversaw the boards usage and created or deleted message boards according to the community's needs and interests.I also learned and created AOL content pages in Rainman, AOL's unique programming language for publishing site pages.

As content creator for Zink!, I was responsible for writing original content for Excite.com's teen portal. The main part of this position was the Ask Kiz column, a tri-weekly relationship advice column for adolescent which also featured a weekly, one-hour interactive chat.I also moderated the message boards associated with the site, and chose high-quality member-created content to feature on the main site page.Prior to working on Zink!, I was part of the general community management team working on training and coordinating our large volunteer-based chat and boards moderation team.
