I am an enthusiastic Biomedical Sciences Master’s student at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) at Maastricht University (UM). My primary interest lies in studying the immune system and exploring its applications - from advancing anti-cancer treatments to understandings its aberrant functioning in autoimmune diseases. Others often describe me as organized, ambitious and hardworking – qualities that strongly align with my commitment to excellence.During my Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences at FHML, UM, I had the opportunity to perform a 13-week internship at the Immunology & Infection department of UHasselt. This experience not only allowed me to expand my biomedical knowledge, but also provided valuable insights into the diverse work dynamics at different research facilities.Alongside my academic engagements, I have acquired practical work experience across various fields, including healthcare, food production and catering. These experiences provided me with the opportunity to interact with various personalities, which has been instrumental in strongly developing my effective communication skills.In my leisure time, I enjoy playing the French horn with the Orchestra Philharmonie Sittard. This musical engagement, with 60+ musicians, has deepened my appreciation for teamwork and collective success.

We developed a sensibilisation campaign to make hospital visitors aware of the human behind the nurse to foster a safer environment.At the conclusion of the 5-month programme, all teams were asked to deliver a 2-minute video pitch summarizing their project outcomes. I am proud to say that my team was awarded with the price for the best video pitch. -
