Taking care of children has been my passion for the last 19 years. Becoming a teacher/ childcare specialist was a choice I made because I believe that watching children learn, from an early age, is incredibly rewarding. I want to be part of their first experiences and help give them the confidence and knowledge that they can accomplish anything in life if they put their minds and their hearts into it. I believe that they deserve to be given the best opportunities to succeed in whatever it is they strive to be and do. I know, as a Childcare Specialist, I will have an impact on the way children, in my care, view themselves and the world around them. The energy and excitement will come from me and it is my responsibility to maintain it. I know I have the ability to motivate each child in my care and encourage growth and positive development.

Indoor Training Routes on DVD VideoReal life video footage of various cycling routes around South Africa. For obvious reasons of individual preference, a music soundtrack is NOT included on the videos. Use your portable device with headphones and change the feel of every ride with your own music selection. The routes include some of the popular annual events like the Argus tour in Cape Town; 94.7 in Johannesburg and the Knysna de-Tour ride, as well as many favorite training grounds around the country.The videos are time based and can be viewed on a DVD player and TV screen or a PC with a DVD rom drive.They are compatible with any type of cycle indoor trainer, spin bike, gym bike, recumbent or treadmill. Use the Trainer Resistance Comparison chart as a guide for the tension levels to use on your indoor trainer. Constant on screen displays show a suggested gradient/resistance level. These displays are based on the advanced Tacx FLOW technology, which has 14 settings. -4 to +9.A comparison chart for most other trainer resistance settings is included on the insert sheet in the DVD cover.Using a rear wheel cycle computer attachment will enable you to gauge the distance covered and therefore the improvement in your level of fitness. Advanced trainers like the Tacx FLOW, and the Elite Chrono, will give various readings on the handlebar control unit. NB: The Elite Axiom trainer needs to be connected to a PC to view distance and gradient readings.NB: Trainers that use the "FLUID” brake concept do not have a tension level option. Simulating hill climb training using a variety of gears to train for specific types of climbing is therefore not possible. It should also be noted that the resistance drops dramatically once the fluid warms up. This means having to constantly increase your effort to try and maintain a resistance level.Using the suggested resistance levels shown on the DVD’s can be more strenuous than just listening to music while riding.
