Honor Construction is a small general contractor that was looking to establish their presence in West Michigan. The organization was looking to capitalize on West Michigan’s expanding construction market. In my role at Honor, I collaborated with the owner to create a value proposition, increase awareness throughout the market, and align team members skills and responsibilities to align with the organization’s size and offerings.

My responsibilities included:• The Center for Community Leadership programs, including the Leadership Grand Rapids Program, Emerging Leaders Program, Inside Grand Rapids, Leadership Advantage and Leading Edge.• All Chamber programing and events, including awards, speaker selection and speaker’s bureau contract negotiations and other event logistics and coordination efforts.Key Accomplishments and Highlights• Developed a broad understanding of the community and created authentic relationships with key leaders. • Assisted state government, local government and non-profit organizations with board member development and placement.• Enhanced the flagship Leadership Grand Rapids program and overall reputation, achieving record numbers of applicants each year for the program. • Developed a partnership with the Detroit Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Detroit program and hosted the first ever “East Meets West Community Leadership Program” thus creating impactful relationships locally and statewide.
