The Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Advisors primary remit was to provide technical advice on areas of diversity, whilst providing high level sophisticated engagement approach to embed and raise actions into BAU functions. This ask included sensitive and challenging culture change with endorsement from the Executive Team.● Project management and oversight to the primary Action Plans including: D&I Strategic Plan, Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and Gender Equality and Respect Plan. ● Oversight with all other dimensions such as LGBTQIA+, CALD, Family Domestic Violence, ageism, psychological safety and safe disclosures, workforce cultural transformation.● Diversity and Culture Committee leadership serving the Chief Executive and Executive Director.Achievements:● Creation of various initiatives such as working groups, Diversity champions, Executive Champions, Lived Experience Series and more● Data analysis and engagement through multiple avenues to collate primary themes for action with new data that the Department had not had voiced prior● Improved staff engagement across the whole range of domains of D&I with an increase of 15 to approximately 65 involved in various culture groups and actions.

Compassion Australia is one of 12 partner offices which raise funds for the programs delivered by Compassion International.Achievements:● Developed and refocussed Major Donor processes through research, consistent report maintenance and intentional relationship building (when there was prior incidental facilitation) which resulted in outcomes becoming directly attributed to input● Increase in personally relationship managed donations by 26% from FY19 to FY20 ($321.5k to $432.2k)● Led Central team’s donor relationship with National Donor team to ensure national collaboration of resources, strategy and leverage of national resources to scale for a state context.● Increased engagement with volunteers and donors on social media and newsletters with team strategies of emotionally intelligent engagement

AusCam Freedom Project is an anti-trafficking organisation aimed at ending the exploitation of girls in Cambodia. AusCam Freedom Project has been focussed on reducing vulnerability, mitigating risks, supporting education to graduation and gain tools, skills and confidence since 2012.● Responsible for the overall management of AFP Cambodia and for overseeing its operational functions including human resources, conflict resolution, team building, volunteer management, contracts, risk management and facility/equipment upkeep● Oversee the design and implementation of the country strategy, annual operating plans and budgets to ensure that they are in accordance with AFP’s approach, mission and priorities● Oversee project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and the review of systems● Responsible for developing and engaging key partnerships in the NGO sector, Cambodian corporate market and key Government departments to learn, source and access grants, donations and corporate sponsorship, and resource and capacity building potential● Provide leadership and management oversight of all program personnel and beneficiaries in a therapeutic contextAchievements:● Took on Interim Country Director position during a season of change when organisation suddenly lost its National Director and was able to build morale, work output and accountability within several months of being on site until handover was possible after implementing organisational hierarchy restructure● Rebuilt team structure and capacity built key local leaders for scalability whilst facing uncertainties due to funding limitations with timely and high-quality organizational development, reporting and oversight of program/project operations● Sourced new funding/resource partnership with an Australian education organisation that has been sustained to present day

Destiny Rescue is an international organisation that provides exploited and trafficked children with intensive support from the traumatic effects of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation by delivering medical assistance, counselling, education, vocational training and socio-emotional support towards empowerment.Achievements:● Created and developed a trauma informed holistic approach team of Social/Case Workers and Counsellors within a cross cultural framework● Project proposed, designed and managed 3 large residential homes, baby and toddler day-care and an economic empowerment business to be restructured and moved from being 1 hour out from Phnom Penh to a body of buildings, including residential, business, educational and vocational learning centre with case work, counselling, administration and management as one centre● Capacity built teams with end goal of national staff in key management roles that were previously expatriate roles. Four key roles were handed over by the end of tenure, including Social Work Manager, Counselling Manager, Residential House Manager and Learning Centre Manager● Networked with local industry peers in a positive and engaging manner to break down deep historical issues between organisations that gave our organisation a fresh platform of trust and faith in its viability, best practice output and ethical behaviour. Negotiated successful outcomes to deliver partnership buy in and resourcing that saw staff being trained, assisted and given opportunity for collaborative participation not granted previously. This included scholarship access for all Social Work staff from the only Social Work university in the country

Salvation Army South Australia Division allowed Major Beverley Demopoulos to spearhead the anti-trafficking movement within its Social Justice umbrella. New ground was broken by having a vision for local state collaboration of anti-trafficking organisations alongside politicians, professionals and services such as local police and Australian Federal Police coming together to share information and begin to combat human trafficking that occurs within the state.
