Philanthropy Manager: Grants
CurrentSince transitioning to focus exclusively on grants management, I have been instrumental in securing essential funding to support Pasadena Humane’s life-saving programs. My efforts have re-engaged lapsed funders, significantly increased contributions from existing partners, and unlocked new awards from previously untapped sources. In this role, I lead every stage of the grant lifecycle, from identifying and evaluating funding opportunities to crafting persuasive proposals and ensuring compliance with all requirements. My work is guided by a commitment to aligning strategies with Pasadena Humane’s mission to create a more compassionate community for animals and the people who care for them. Key Responsibilities: - Funding Research & Identification: Continuously explore and evaluate funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other sources to drive mission-aligned support. - Proposal Development: Partner with program teams to create compelling, well-structured grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and evaluation strategies, that resonate with funders. - Grant Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of active grants, ensuring compliance, meeting deadlines, and delivering comprehensive financial reports. - Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed reports to funders, highlighting impact metrics and project outcomes while fostering transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders. - Strategic Growth: Analyze funding trends to shape long-term grant strategies and contribute to the organization’s broader fundraising initiatives.
