I am a partner with Parker Poe at the firm’s Charlotte office where my practice focuses on employment litigation in state and federal courts. I also represent employers before federal and state administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Departments of Labor and the North Carolina Industrial Commission.In addition to my litigation practice, I counsel employers about employment agreements, handbooks and policies, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. I am also a frequent lecturer on employment law and worker's compensation.While earning my law degree at Wake Forest University School of Law, I was a member of the Moot Court Board and won the prestigious Edwin M. Stanley Moot Court Competition. I am a frequent speaker on women’s issues and work life balance. I was selected by the National Association for Female Executives to be on the cover of, and be quoted in, their Fall 2011 magazine recognizing the top 50 law firms for women.
