My role of the Artistic Director for the TCK Studios was to provide creative guidance and support to the faculty and students who are involved in the Dance Company while managing the dance company's activities, networking and new clients.Essential Job Functions:AuditionsResponsible for managing and coordinating with the office staff and choreographers for the Studios performances and classes. Attend/run all classes/activitiesSetting Master Schedule for all the Dance Studios performances.Coordinate with office and faculty to run rehearsalsAttend final rehearsal per piece and attend/run all final runs, dress and technical rehearsals.Run final dress rehearsal.Booking all outside performances for the companyManage necessary paperwork, i.e. contracts with facilities, permission slips and medical releases.Music SelectionMeet with all choreographers for approval on music selection for company pieces.CostumesParticipate in team meetings (faculty, dancers for choosing costumesManage inventory of all studio owned costumes used for Dance CompanyParent/student concernsResponsible for addressing concerns with parents/students and faculty.Faculty relationsResponsible for notifying faculty of any dance studio concernsReporting to studio directors any student, parent or faculty concerns.Dance Studio activitiesResponsible for arranging and organizing any company fundraisers, field trips, master classes, and other related meetings.
