Chinhae Naval Base

Provides production network and systems surveillance and performs moderately complex fault management and configuration tasks in support of customers and supporting systems. Supervises the day to day operational activities of the LNSC. Manages a staff of five workers, including recommendations for hiring decisions, facilitating employee skills development, resolving disagreements, motivating and making duty assignments and time-off requests. Identifies resources required for each task. Accountable for the operational effectiveness of the LNSC, administers business processes, maintains cross-functional working relationships; identifies opportunities for improvement. Provides reports and statues to various departments such as remote project leaders and project managers, military and Government customers. Analyzes network characteristics (traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput, etc.) and recommends procurement, removals and network modifications. Identifies and maintains LNSC business processes, Monitors and manages the LNSC’s compliance with established policy & procedural standards. Maintains a service oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection and resolution that results in continued accolades from customers and visiting VIPs. Rebuilt LNSC-Korea’s two Altiris Deployment Servers to improve efficiency and security.

Supervision of USO support staff and volunteers; operation of cash drawer and change fund, processing of documents pertaining to core programs; assisting with volunteer programs; and overseeing up keep of the facility, including, but not limited to cleaning,reporting maintenance issues and servicing of equipment (i.e., gaming systems, DVD's, TV's, etc.). Ensures security of center at all times, including, but not limited to adherence of computer and/or internet regulations; and provides support to the Canteen, ITT, and Mobile Canteen as needed.

Served as the Maintenance Branch NCOIC of a forward deployed Sustainment Brigade consisting of 7 Battalions across the Korean Theater of Operations (KTO). Rendered technical assistance and guidance in the administration of the Brigade's field and sustainment maintenance progran including coordination of the overhaul/modernization programs with Eighth Army Subordinate Commands; developd and coordinated production schedules, prepared mortality lists for parts, supplies, and critical materials to support production schedules; determined tools, machinery, and repair parts requirements; and prepared cost estimates and manhour standards. Used extensive knowledge of sustainment maintenance and depot operations to provide assistance to subordinate units concerning specialized processes, procedures and operations necessary for completion of overhaul and conversion procedures. Reviewed all SAMS-1E and SAMS-2E reports for accuracy and ensured the timely submission by subordinate units. Created an automated logistics estimate used by Brigade staff planners for OPLAN development and exercise scenarios. Served as the Support Operations Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and Battle Command and Sustainment Support System (BCS3) NCOIC and primary trainer/operator for three major Command Post Exercises. Managed and developed a SharePoint portal website for the Brigade Support Operations Division consisting of 15 sections and over 45 web pages.
