I started as a traditional student straight out of high school in 1986 at Shepherd College, now Shepherd University, where I worked towards a Graphic Design degree. I took a hiatus for several years to raise our family taking a class here and there to continue working on a business degree. I have a huge thirst for knowledge and education, so I wasn't about to give up!! I finally received a Bachelor's degree from Glenville State College in 2009, and completed a Master's of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University in 2011. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at Northcentral University and working towards a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) with a concentration in marketing. Throughout my graduate level work, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I take my education seriously and work very hard to earn that honor.I have several years of marketing and management experience in a wide range of professions to include retail, non-profit, healthcare, academia, law enforcement/corrections and government. I've worked for small Mom-and-Pop businesses as well as large, national corporations. I've worked with federal and state government, also. I even had my own advertising agency at one time.Regarding my professional teaching experience, I have taught marketing, communication and general business courses in the traditional classroom setting as an adjunct professor for Glenville State College from 2010 until 2016. Additionally, I started teaching online marketing courses for Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. I have developed and taught communication courses for WV state correctional training personnel. In the fall of 2016, I started the newest chapter of my life as the Assistant Professor of Marketing at WV Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV.
