About Kim Costello, Dccpsy., Lmhc

Co-owner and co-founder of The Costello Center, Dr. Kim E. Costello has over twenty years of experience as a therapist and counselor. In that time, she has helped hundreds of individuals, couples, and families through major changes in their lives."I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being we desire contentment. In my own limited experience, I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being."Dr. Costello's experience and training led her to found The Costello Center with her husband Frank Costello in 2006, where she works as a licensed therapist alongside a wide variety of independent contractors who help to provide a holistic approach to counseling in situations like divorce and academic struggles. She is deeply committed to seeing children, adults, couples, and families reach their full potential by helping them find life-long happiness and success. Her innovative method for collaborative divorce, developed using her expertise in conflict resolution therapy, has grown as families have realized that divorce without despair is possible. To this end, she is trained in the best methods for family mediation and collaborative law and can serve as a neutral mental health facilitator, parenting coordinator, child specialist and/or mediator for families in need. Dr. Costello works to provide the appropriate services for each family she helps, knowing no two divorces are exactly alike, but the end goal of easing the changes by facilitating communication and cooperation remains the same.Dr. Costello's desire to help people beyond The Costello Center can be seen throughout her books which promote family communication, self-awareness, and overall well-being. Great Monkeys All Are We is a children's book, co-written with her daughter Ashlee B. Rincon, meant to increase children's awareness of how they are viewed by others. Heartstrings: The Parent-Child Connection is a "handbook" for parents, teaching them how to look beyond behavior to connect with their children and better understand the role they play in their children's lives. Her newest book, written with her husband Frank Costello, is Dash the Sea Turtle, a children's book showing how it is okay to be yourself despite what others think.

Listed skills include Adolescents, Psychotherapy, Conflict Resolution, Mental Health, and 19 others.
