For the last 18 years I have loved running my business, Kidaktive (formerly Stretch n Grow), providing 'Physical Education with Imagination' classes to nurseries and schools. I have grown the business from zero to continued annual growth with over 60 clients, over 80 classes per week and a turnover of over £80k.In addition, I am working as a Business Advisor for Work Avenue to help new and existing business entrepreneurs with ongoing advice, information, support and guidance. Work Avenue is a wonderful charity which aims to provide people in the community with essential lifelong skills to help them become financially independent either by finding employment or by setting up their own business.Prior to this I put my business, sales and social media marketing skills to good use helping to run and grow AF Communications, a communications training company which uses Drama techniques and Psychology to create experiential workshops.Earlier in my career I worked in PR for clients such as Pampers, Maltesers, Criterion Theatre, Lands' End clothing and the City of Rome where I worked with targeted print media to achieve press coverage of each brand.I love working with people and am really enjoying my varied work portfolio which allows me to run and grow a business whilst helping other people to do the same.
